GTA 6 Pre-Order Guide: Every Edition, Bonus, and Where to Buy (Full 2026 Breakdown)

Last updated: July 5, 2026.

Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026, and pre-orders have been live since June 25. In this GTA 6 pre order guide, we break down the GTA 6 pre order bonus, the GTA 6 Vintage Vice City Pack, the GTA 6 pre order price, and the Standard vs Ultimate Edition comparison so you can buy with confidence.

GTA 6 pre order price and confirmed pricing

Rockstar has locked in pricing for both editions:

  • Standard Edition — $79.99
  • Ultimate Edition — $99.99

This lands right where analysts expected, holding at the now-standard AAA console price point rather than pushing to the $90–$100 range some had speculated about earlier in the year.

What’s in the Free Vintage Vice City Pack

Every pre-order — Standard or Ultimate — includes the Vintage Vice City Pack at no extra cost. This isn’t a paywalled Ultimate Edition perk; it’s a straightforward thank-you for reserving early, and it leans hard into 1980s Miami nostalgia. It includes:

  • A ‘55 Vapid Stanier sedan — a classic two-tone vehicle, stored in a personal garage near Ocean Beach (Shore Court Garage), complete with a weapon locker and a stash spot for stolen goods
  • Retro outfits and hairstyles for both protagonists — Jason gets a pastel linen suit with an era-appropriate haircut, while Lucia gets a red sequin mini dress with curled hair
  • A tropical weapon skin inspired directly by Tommy Vercetti’s iconic palm-tree shirt from the original 2002 Vice City, usable on most guns in the game

Rockstar has confirmed this pack unlocks for anyone who pre-orders or buys digitally before November 20, 2026 — and for physical pre-orders while supplies last.

What the Ultimate Edition Adds

The $99.99 Ultimate Edition stacks a separate, much larger bundle of premium content on top — described by Rockstar as items “threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story,” meaning you won’t have access to everything on day one. New items unlock progressively as you move through the game’s chapters. Highlights include:

  • A ‘67 Vapid Dominator Buggy with its own garage in Watson Bay
  • Access to two exclusive vehicle customization shops — Rideout Customs in Vice City and One-Eyed Willie’s in Lake Leonida
  • A special classic car restoration questline with local fixer Wyman, including four vehicles exclusive to this edition
  • The Shitzu Squalo, a custom boat docked at Washington Beach
  • Personalized, engraved pistol variants for both protagonists
  • Access to the PTT Youngin$ compound, an exclusive in-story location and score
  • Additional exclusive outfits and a dedicated streetwear store (Stock 305) in Stockyard
  • A tie-in apparel line themed around a fictional in-game TV character, Macca the Gator

If you already own the Standard Edition, Rockstar has confirmed a separate Ultimate Edition Upgrade will be purchasable later, so you’re not locked out if you decide to upgrade after launch.

Digital Pre-Order Bonus: Free Month of GTA+

If you pre-order digitally through the PlayStation Store or Xbox/Microsoft Store, you also get one free month of GTA+, which includes:

  • A GTA$500,000 deposit into your GTA Online character’s bank account
  • Shark Cards with a 15% bonus
  • Discounts and free access to select GTA Online vehicles
  • A rotating library of classic Rockstar titles

The Physical Edition Doesn’t Include a Disc

Worth knowing before you buy: the in-store “physical edition” is really just a box containing a download code redeemable on the PlayStation Store or Xbox Games Store — there’s no actual disc to keep or resell. Physical copies go on sale starting November 12, one week ahead of digital preload.

Preload Date

If you pre-order, GTA 6 will be available to preload starting November 12, 2026 — a full week before launch — for both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Platforms

GTA 6 launches exclusively on:

  • PlayStation 5
  • Xbox Series X/S

No PC version or release date has been announced. Based on how GTA V rolled out (PC arrived roughly 18 months after consoles), a PC release sometime in 2027–2028 is plausible, but Rockstar hasn’t confirmed anything — treat that as speculation, not fact.

Standard vs Ultimate: Which Should You Buy?

If you’re mainly here for the story, the Standard Edition includes the full game plus the free Vintage Vice City Pack — nothing story-critical is locked behind the Ultimate Edition. The Ultimate Edition is really for players who want extra customization options, exclusive shops, and bonus vehicles from the start of the game, and are willing to pay $20 more for it. Since Rockstar is also selling the Ultimate upgrade separately later, there’s no urgency to decide right now if you’re on the fence — you can start with Standard and upgrade afterward.

Where to Pre-Order

  • PlayStation Store (digital)
  • Xbox Games Store / Microsoft Store (digital)
  • Major retailers (physical box with download code)
